The Compound protects the remnants of often horrific human experimentation during World War II. Now a new generation comes of age, some with strange powers and abilities, groomed to be weapons for justice.

Mason can become intangible like a mist, then completely whole and solid again -- even during sex. Jordie is a nine foot tall giant, able to leap great distances in a single bound. Together they face challenges in figuring out sex and love.

When a woman in their group at The Compound appears to be kidnapped, Mason and Jordie must put aside their own secrets to help her. But they soon discover everyone secrets, and not everyone in The Compound is who they seem.

Both men nodded and the four flat-panel monitors sprung to life. Two men in foreign looking military uniforms, and a man they had seen numerous times on the television news and now could not remember his name. He had the label POTUS under the man. The President of the United States.

“Gentlemen, I want to introduce the two operatives on this mission, Wisp and Behemoth. I do not think I need to say which is which,” there was general chuckling at her remark and Behemoth wasn't sure he liked the chuckles. “I also need to share observations from the operatives as they saw things happen and experienced.”

These important men gave Madame their full attention as she went over the issues involved, the theories of the FBI -- which were openly scoffed at by the two military men from outside the states -- and finally she shared Wisp's story. In a detailed Power Point presentation, the Madame showed video of the two in training and then had aerial shots of the mountain where Wisp was and the valley where Blue Bird was last seen.

“Can we ask the operatives questions, Madame?” asked the military man in a grey uniform and metals across his breast that became gaudy looking to Behemoth rather than impressive.

“You may if you can,” smiled the Madame as she corrected the man's English, which seemed to go over his head.

“Wisp,” he started in a heavily Eastern European accent, “exactly why were you in this area again? I am a bit confused. It is used for training but you were not training?”

“It is a place we who have flight capabilities can practice in since it is not very populated and affords the privacy needed for such a workout. I went today because of its seclusion and being able to be alone for a time.”

“That is what I do not understand. Why did you need to be alone?”

Wisp looked at the Madame who remained quiet and Behemoth just smiled at him. “We live in an environment that does not provide for much privacy here. I share living space; I share education space; I share training space and quite frankly I share air space. Sometimes all that sharing is too much and all I want is to be alone and seek quiet.”

“And this was your sole purpose for being there? It just seems convenient you were there at the time of this supposed abduction…” He left the question hanging in midair. And there was an uncomfortable silence and unspoken accusation.

Wisp looked to the Madame who remained stoic as the Sphinx and offered no help. Behemoth understood what was being unsaid but did not know how to help. Wisp looked up and saw the smug, arrogant look of satisfaction on the man's face and knew how to wipe it off.

“Sir, you imply I am lying about something.”

“If you say so, young man,” was his condescending reply.

“Do you really want to know why I go there and what I went for this afternoon?”

“It would help to know all the facts.”

“It's where I go to masturbate, sir.”

    “Excuse me?”

“It is where I go to jack off, pull my pud, or however it is in your country to pleasure yourself,” returned Wisp with a grin he didn’t feel. “It relieves stress, sir.” Wisp suddenly felt like a pubescent teen caught with his pants down. Hell, he was twenty-two and would be able to leave The Compound soon through various agreements with officials and family. He sighed, he felt exposed and vulnerable but needed to at least look the part of a hero. Which is why the containment suit he wore was ivory with a red swirl going from right knee up and across his chest. He appeared every inch the superhero.
