Behind the Cam

I enjoyed Axel and Kienan's story. It took me a bit to get into it, but I ultimately got hooked and was curious to see what will happen, especially when Kienan's not so great ex-boyfriend showed up in Chicago. I really wanted Kienan to be honest to Axel and tell him what was going on, but in the end I ended up feeling that the way things transpired was more realistic. We don't know which option will be the best when deciding what to do, and ao much of life is us taking decisions on the fly. Both Axel and Kienan did the best in the time frame they had, even if they later saw those weren't the right decisions and had to fix things, but it ultimately made the story more real.
I loved how accepting Axel was of Kienan's camming, but I also loved the fact that Kienan wasn't going to stop doing that because of anyone, because he loved doing it and was great at it. I really enjoyed their chemistry, and while it was a slow burn, it was interesting to see them get to a place where they could be intimate. It was fun to see them both fight their chemistry, but in the end there was no stopping it.

This was a pretty low-angst story even with Kienan struggling after a toxic and abusive relationship. It was also a sweet and pretty lighthearted story. If you like cam boys and single dads then this is worth the read.
