The Perfect Number

A quick collection of three short stories told from the points of views of each of the three men from the Unlikely Alliance trilogy. I found these to be quick and sweet and just reinforced how much I adore these men and their relationship with each other. Here are my reviews of each story.

The Spare Man - Thoughts from Humphrey's point of view that come from early in his, Abe and Clem's relationship when he isn't sure of his value in the trio of men. It was an interesting view and I loved how he reacted when propositioned by another friend from his past.

Privilege and Preferment - A sneak at the morning after drunken revelry for Abe and his cohorts, but he quickly gains back his mama's good grace when he tells her of his promotion. We then get a brief glimpse into the office the next week and there's a fun comeuppance for one of his nemesis' at the end of the story.

Journey's End - A quick reintroduction to London's chaos from Clem's view, and we are treated to his internal thoughts that Abe and Humphrey may have moved on without him. However, that's quickly put to rest as soon as Clem arrives at Abe's doorstep.
