“It’s a little different from the NovaLaunch capsule I was supposed to fly up in,” Axel observed as he strapped himself into his seat. “No spacesuit, for one thing.” In fact, both he and Kurt were completely naked, sitting side by side on the two-seat flight deck.

“Not quite,” Kurt replied with a laugh. “Just light clothing, usually. But the Exojet is a much more robust vehicle than a NovaPod, with multiply redundant life support systems. Spacesuits aren’t needed unless we have to go outside for an EVA -- extravehicular activity -- which we won’t, on this occasion. And given the special requirements of this mission, I thought it would be quicker and simpler if we were unhampered by clothing.”

“That’s fine by me,” Axel said. “I’m used to working in the nude, after all. With a body like mine, it would be a crime to deprive the viewers of a good look at it.”
