Since I was very little, I’ve been writing stories about my favorite characters from books and movies. They were never very long, just a few pages of plain paper stapled together and most of the room taken up by drawings, but I loved doing it and that love lasted a whole lifetime. I published my first fanfiction at sixteen and found a wonderful, supportive community of writers who helped me learn and grow and develop a writing style unique to me. It’s taken twenty years for me to finally have the courage to break away from fanfiction and into original stories, and I hope people continue to enjoy them.
